Torphins Joint Paths Group met periodically from November 2016 to investigate the possibilities for develop walking and cycling paths in the environs of Torphins.

On 30th March 2017 the decision was taken to form Torphins Paths Group.  

On 25th April 2017 the new independent community voluntary group was constituted and the management committee confirmed.
